Massimo & Tracy are back
The transplant went very well, after a 4 week stay in hospital and 3 months intense monitoring by very professional specialists in Genova, Massimo was finally released at the end of Janaury, to fly home to beautiful South Africa!
Thanks to Loretta, Massimo has her shiny new bone marrow and everything is going well. A few little issues such as not being allowed to take the sun, and a current dislike for the taste of coffee and wine are a small price to pay for having been given the gift of life!
here is a short video showing what we did on the last 8 months:
Now we are ready to take back the reins and look forward to seeing all our very special customers and friends again from Friday 7 March.
Our old team will be back with us, they have patiently waited for our return, and are just as excited to be getting back into the groove.
There are some positive changes such as
new opening hours – with the help of an assistant manager we will now be opening 7 day a week:
Monday to Friday from 5pm, Saturday, Sunday & public holidays from 12.
We have also some interesting additions to the menu, as well as a few surprises coming up in the near future
Not everyone is as lucky as Massimo in having a sibling donor, therefore we are sponsoring the Sunflower Fund charity which strives to increase the number of donors in South Africa.
See the menu for the Sunflower Pasta & Pizza
(R10 for each sold will be donated to the Sunflower Trust)
